What is Stock/Bill?
The Stock/Bill Program allows you to receive prescribed products at the point of treatment.
Who is providing the DME products?
Surgi-Care, Inc., an orthopedic supplier is the provider. With over 30 years experience in the medical community, we provide top quality orthopedic products and can bill most insurance carriers.
Is this covered by my insurance company?
Many items are covered at different levels by insurance companies. We recommend you contact your carrier prior to receiving the product. You will be responsible for any portion your insurance does not pay.
Is Surgi-Care, Inc. an accredited company?
Yes. We are CHAP accredited as a certified home health care provider.
What if Surgi-Care is not a provider for my insurance company?
We are always working with insurance carriers to allow us to become providers. In the meantime, you may have to pay for these services.
What is Surgi-Care's Replacement Policy?
Off-the-Shelf products have limited manufacturer warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Replacements may be allowed for defective products only. Please call our Replacement Center at 1-888-290-8905. Custom products are non-returnable, see limited warranty information.
What is a Cold Therapy system?
It is a system that allows cold to be directed to the surgical sight and is more efficiently delivered than ice bags. It includes a reservoir for ice and cold water, a flow hose which may or may not have a pump, and a bladder that conforms to the anatomical sight treated.
Why use cold therapy devices?
Numerous clinical studies have proven cold therapy devices reduce pain, swelling, post-operative bleeding, hospital stay and rehab time. It has also shown to be much more therapeutic than traditional ice bags.
Why not use a bag of ice?
Though a bag of ice can provide cold, it is difficult to keep in place and does not provide compression. Ice bags can also leak onto the surgical dressing, which can increase the risk of infection. They have also been known to cause thermal injuries (frost bite) to the skin due to lack of temperature regulation.
